The secret of staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age.
.
It’s awesome though; there is no denying that it is a classic that shaped my childhood. It plays very on stereotypical events. Cat and mouse being arch enemies, but the child appeal flip on this is that the mouse wins. That’s right, everyone likes the underdog. In many ways Tom is a bit evil, he is the antagonist, but at some times the roles change. Plenty of times have Jerry hurt Tom just for the heck of it. Sometimes the moral punishment to that is not dealt as the image is shifted as Tom seeks revenge. Great stuff, but I can’t help wonder how each stunt would look with realistic physics.
Now here is a personal favorite. Invader Zim, this kind of bridges the gap between the anime east and the cartoon west. Only one thing has been taken from both sides, and that is insanity. Now, the design varies between steam punk and sci-fi at most times. Themes that can be associated with the show in whole is violence, racism, cloning, stereotypes, bullying and not at least insanity. Now, this is a heavy dose even for a teens show. However it is all projected in a way that is just enjoyable. The design is a masterpiece which does remind me a bit of Dexter’s laboratory which is slightly more innocent even though it would have an astronomic kill count with all the buildings raised as well as missiles hitting random locations on Earth.
I thought I’d never see Donald Duck in a nazi uniform. Fate has it that I was wrong as Disney apparently at one time was very political in many ways.

Was that Donald just displaying his true political motivation? It is called Der fuhrer’s face. Like in your face. True enough it is pro-American which is to be expected, however the image itself is priceless. It would make an onion weep seeing that Disney has tried to keep this dead and buried. Its Donald freaking doing the Heil Hitler. It freaking is official as well. You could not possibly ask for more. Disney’s mascot has been part of a Nazi military infantry. From what I have heard, he has even been a commando in Japan territory during the war. What will be next? Sing along songs regarding the nuclear bombing? His machine gun also puts Rambo to shame. Looking deeper into things he has also smoked. Some mascot, next thing he will turn into a heroine junkie. To think Arne And, which is a parody on Donald Duck was made. Donald does not need a parody anymore, we got his past and that is all we need.
Projection is something which cartoons in general excel in. The ability to reveal the message which often is clear before it is fully revealed. In many ways it is more graphic than reality itself. That is partly what makes cartoons a classic though. Now, I can go on and on about this, but the end message is that never underestimate the idea of simplifying things. It has caused uproars which have shaken the very fabric of understanding itself in the past.
Been fun updating this, now, food calls for me.
Art is never finished, only abandoned. - Leonardo DaVinci
This will come out as a research update which primarily centers around my relationship with art.
I like art, but art without any sense of perception is nothing more than a shell. To make art, it is my belief that it requires one needs to make things go beyond the shell. It is the job of the viewer to use their wonder to explore the perception, but it is the job of the artist to create the exterior AS WELL as the interior. Without substance the art becomes meaningless, without shape it becomes invisible. Then again, art cannot truly be judged, it can only be reflected upon. The human eye is not capable of seeing everything nor is the human mind capable of understanding every aspect. Art sort of has an eternal lifespan, but limited interest.
There are various types of art. I myself have an open interest for many forms of modern and old art. Art in people is always been a slight obsession for me. It is easy to conclude that the young child has an aura of innocence surrounding it, but that only makes it more open to the subject of corruption. It is common for men to love to corrupt things. I guess I am no exception to that. My art and my life both have a different story to themselves, but I am not going to bore you too much with that at this moment. Instead, this being a research update and all. My first for that matter. I am going to take you around the world for some of my personal observation regarding art that is not mine. We all have a different lens, which means we will all see things differently. I want to start with a show which I have enjoyed for a few years now. Not every aspect, but it has a creative feel too it.
Fist of the north star/hokuto no ken
On the outside, it is a shoen fighter which could not possibly harbor any significant meaning. While on the interior it really raises a lot of interesting points. Huge people who seems as if they are chucked full of steroids like no tomorrow wander around the world, they fight, they fight and they fight some more. Although it is the grand daddy of shoen, I have a lot of respect for its plot which goes a bit like this. Remember, this was developed in the late 70's.
In 199x the world was engulfed by a nuclear war, nearly all the civilization which was present got caught within the fires of war and quickly died. Mostly only the strong survived. Although traces of civilization remains, they are largely targeted by the stronger clans/gangs which have formed who will blackmail and intimidate them, sometimes kill them. An ancient marital art has been passed down to one successor who wanders the world.
Ok, so now we got mad max on steroids. Add that to the power points which they use *Basically, they poke people and radical things happen later on, head often explode.* Then you got something which you might enjoy, or hate with a passion. This is the stereotypical cover of it as it goes much deeper. It involves mainly conflict, not necessarily awakened by hate, but by the need and inability to live with the other choice. The characters all have various traits, weaknesses and such. So mainly the character stuff is pretty deep, but most of the other stuff is fairly stereotypical. Then again, I could watch heads explode all day. Bottom line, innocent people die, you find likeable antagonists and protagonists as well as you see some radical plot changes. All in good old fashioned anime back in the day when being creative actually was a requirement.
Now..... For the art. You might wonder..... How does this....... *Dude on the right*

Turn to this?

This is from a later movie made in 2006 from the same thing. Although the art itself don't project much emotion, the plot does, and at the most important times, the art does it at well. Less is more in a way. Aside from that, you get head splatter fun!

That's one style I like, now let's move on to another.

Oh yeah, it's Max Payne. Those who know this ark knows that it is real deep and dark. That might be part of the appeal. Either way, its heavy metaphorical use only adds to the entire feel which it's generate. That it has not been used more in the modern times is just a waste, it is a wonderful type of art which has been forgotten.
Time is up for now, but I will return later.
Good day.
